The legal context of technical decisions
Cloud architecture should make clear which systems process personal data, which parties access it and for how long it is retained. F2Cloud discovery helps define technical requirements for location, access, backups and security. Controllers need to assess legal grounds, notices and transfer mechanisms with their own advisers.
Four areas to review
First, review locations for primary data, backups and logs. Second, assess privileged access and audit records. Third, examine retention, deletion and exit procedures. Fourth, review subprocessors and international data flows. Verify each against the actual contract and architecture, regardless of product branding.
The right role for local hosting
Hosting in Turkey may form part of a data-location requirement. Remote access, CDNs and third-party analytics still need review. Local hosting alone is not a guarantee of full KVKK compliance or that all data remains in the country. Use current KVKK Article 9 requirements and Authority sources for legal assessment.
What the assessment should produce
Clarify the technical data-flow map, required locations, access model and service boundaries. Turn missing information into concrete questions and base the proposal on that scope. This service description is neither legal advice nor a compliance certificate; technical and legal assessments are intended to complement each other.
Pre-decision checklist
