F2Cloud WebShield
Secure Web & API Hosting as a Service
Operating web and API workloads with hosting, traffic management and the DDoS/WAF controls agreed in scope.
Live flow
- Clean traffic
- Blocked request
Internet → DDoS mitigation → WAF and firewall → healthy application
Conceptual animation; real throughput and volume depend on your agreed scope.
01What this service means
Let customers reach your business, not an infrastructure problem.
A campaign, a traffic spike or an attack. Application availability depends on servers, networking and security working together.
Outputs of the agreed scope
Hosting architecture, traffic and certificate approach, security scope and operational responsibilities.
Important boundary
Protection capacity and service limits are proposal-specific. Uninterrupted service under every attack is not guaranteed.
02F2Cloud WebShield / Service flow
Traffic arrives. Layers filter. Your app responds.
Internet → DDoS mitigation → WAF and firewall → healthy application
Outcome: Traffic enters the protection path.
-
At this stage
User and bot traffic reaches WebShield.
-
At this stage
Volumetric attack traffic is mitigated at the network layer.
-
At this stage
Application-layer attack patterns are inspected and blocked.
-
At this stage
Clean traffic is distributed to healthy application servers.
Protection capacity is defined in scope; blocking all attacks is not guaranteed. Backup and DRaaS are optional.
The moment a website, customer portal or API goes online it meets scanning, brute force, application attacks and denial-of-service attempts. Ordinary hosting leaves most of these risks to the customer.
F2Cloud WebShield routes traffic through network-layer DDoS mitigation, an application-layer WAF, a network firewall and health-checked load balancing before it reaches your application.
Hosted workloads are monitored and can optionally be combined with Cloud Backup and DRaaS for complete business continuity.
Technical scope and limits
- DDoS mitigation capacity is defined in the service scope; no solution can block every attack.
- A WAF doesn't fix vulnerabilities in the application itself; it reduces their exposure.
- Application updates and code security remain the customer's responsibility unless agreed otherwise.
Frequently asked questions
What is DDoS protected hosting?
Hosting where traffic to your application passes through a protection layer that mitigates denial-of-service attacks.
What's the difference between DDoS protection and a WAF?
DDoS mitigation typically addresses volumetric network-layer attacks. A WAF inspects application-layer attacks such as SQL injection and XSS. They complement each other.
Can you host our SaaS platform?
Yes. SaaS platforms, customer portals and APIs can be hosted in WebShield.

-
What is a WAF? How it differs from DDoS protection
Web security is not a single filter. Application requests, volumetric attacks and code security are handled at different layers.

Questions to ask when choosing local hosting in Turkey
Do not choose local hosting based only on a server's address. Backups, support access, recovery and responsibilities are part of the decision.
03What confidence is built on
Less adjectives. More accountability.
F2Cloud brings F2 Bilişim's networking, cybersecurity and virtualization engineering into a managed service model. A sound decision needs clear boundaries as well as commitments.
- 01
Written scope. Clear ownership.
Which workloads are protected? Who monitors and responds? The proposal defines architecture, included services and responsibility boundaries.

A target matters when it is measured.
RPO and RTO are set around your workloads. Recovery exercises assess applications, networking and access together. A target is not a guarantee.

Know where data lives and who can reach it.
A Turkey-hosting assessment must cover primary data, backups, logs and support access. KVKK considerations include data flows and roles, not location alone.
